Triumphant Tuesday
another Gold Medal from Readers Favorite
Hello again readers, I’ve returned from my Wellness retreat — which worked wonders, I feel much less ill although still not fully back to myself — to find that a gold medal was waiting for me, courtesy of Readers Favorite, for Thanksgiving in Welcombe Bay, which won in the Christian Romance general category.
Some of you may remember that when Death in Paris came out, it took the Readers Favorite gold medal in the Cozy Mystery class, so I am doubly thrilled to have received this exciting accolade twice now. What I love about this particular award, is that we self-published authors are competing side by side with the Big Five, so it’s quite a thrill to know that my little books were considered by the judges to be as good as the year’s best offerings from the traditional publishers. It’s quite an encouragement… even although right now I’m too sick to write anything.
My Gold Medals were in the 14th and 16th contests (I didn’t have a new novel come out in time to be considered for the 15th)
With encouragement like that, despite being too shaky to write just yet, I feel that the time is not far off when I shall start sharpening pencils again. At the moment, though, my focus is on finding a cleaning team to come and help me. I love my isolated seaside home, but I do need more help there than I can happily acknowledge right now. So I’m thinking of going on a writing retreat to ease back into a more productive place.
Thank you a million times, my dear readers, for bearing with me through this difficult time, and I hope that things will be back to normal in my writing life soon.

Congrats on the award! Happy to hear that the wellness retreat did some good for you. Continuing to send you healing vibes across the ocean!
Slowly but surely wins the day
